RiverFest September 19, 2008

Riverfest is a celebration of
Eden 's art, history and river
heritage. This annual event takes place in the Olde Leaksville Shopping District on Washington Street —our oldest downtown area that dates back to 1797.

You will enjoy two stages of music, a interactive arts area for children in the Kid's Zone that also includes rides. We have a number of artisans and craft vendors. A variety of food vendors and special historic exhibits are part of the event. These include Alexander's Battalion Civil War Hospital at the Hwy 87 bridge, a Civil War troop, Guilford Battleground Fife & Drum Corp, a 4-H Camp and the Dan River Basin Association exhibit. There will be batteau rides on the Dan River throughout the day. Finally, musical headliners Envision (Motown-Friday night) and Trent Tomlinson (Country-Saturday night) will have you dancing in the street. Come have fun at this award winning event!
