River to River Presents Now That's HIP! Movie Nights August 15, 2006

Join us beneath the stars in Downtown’s newest waterfront rooftop park for the feature presentation of Director Sam Fuller’s 1953 film Pick Up on South Street. Pickup on South Street is a tough, brutal, well-made film about a pickpocket (Richard Widmark) who inadvertently acquires top-secret microfilm and becomes a target for espionage agents. Following the feature, join us for short films by New York-based filmmaker Jeff Scher. Trigger Happy depicts dancing in the street with thousands of objects picked up from the street on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. SID is a remarkable short film about small dogs.
