River Prairie & People June 11, 2010

Visitors will travel through time along the Mississippi River. First, they will explore the lifeways of the earliest Quad City residents, the American Indians. Then examine the infamous Davenport Tablets, travel through the settling of the Quad Cities area and discover the roots of the Civil War. They will see Bix Beiderbecke's horn while they listen to period jazz and learn how immigrants from all over the world have made the Quad Cities their home.
