Rite of Spring March 13, 2009

Stravinsky’s adventurous, forceful, and primitive work is scored for an unusually large orchestra. Known to many from the Walt Disney movie Fantasia, it presents a study in contrasts with Copland’s peaceful Appalachian Spring.
