Riot Act Comedy February 5, 2008

From 8 to 9 pm Riot Act will host a Comedy Showcase featuring some of the best up & coming talent the area has to offer. Hosted by local veterans of comedy, come out and be a part of the great underground comedy scene in DC and support local talent. Come see the great and soon to be great every Tuesday. At 9 pm, Riot Act will host national headliners who will bring the show home. Dancing after the show

February 5 - Headliner Danny Williams
A mainstay in the DC comedy scene ,veteran of HBO's "Chris Rock Show" and seen on Comedy Central and BET. Don't miss your chance to see one of the patriarchs of DC comedy.

February 12 - Headliner Fat Doctor
A legend in these parts and a model and teacher fmany of DC's stars on the rise. The Doctor is noted as being one of Dave Chappelle's main influences

February 19 - Headliner Andy Evans
Comedian-author, stand-up comedian and gifted speaker & university lecturer who does workshops in stress relief and diversity. Evans has merged the two things he holds dear: comedy and counseling.

Performing in a variety of entertainment venues, Evans has been on stage with Aretha Franklin,Chris Rock, Bill Maher, George Wallace, Jerry Seinfeld, & was recognized by Bill Cosby for his style of comedy. He has been featured on numerous TV shows such as Best of the Apollo Comedy Hour, BET's Comic View, & Studio 9.
