About to hit Texas in support of their latest release, “Painted Pony Ride,” Curb Records Nashville national recording artists RIO GRAND may all be Odessa natives, but each member took a different music path before finding their way to the group.

Bass guitarist Tommy Rennick started out playing in garage bands then graduated with a music degree from Texas A & M, guitarist Fred Stallcup honed his chops playing in honky tonks from El Paso to Jacksonville, and lead singer Danny Rivera got his start as a roadie for a south Texas band. No matter their beginnings, these three have come together to bring life to Rio Grand, and with a tried and true Texas country sound they are well on their way.
