Riggs Family Farm Annual Fall Activities October 8, 2005

Riggs Family Farm, one of the last traditional family farms in Southern Chandler, starts its annual fall activities, which run Oct. 8-31. Specializing in seasonal organic vegetables, Riggs offers activities that include a pumpkin patch, corn maze and petting zoo. Families can select their own Thanksgiving turkey, buy baby chicks, stuff scarecrows and choose dry corn stalks with the ears attached for fall decorating.

They?re located at 13149 E. Chandler Heights Road, east of McQueen Road. Hours are from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 3 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, and closed Sundays. For more information about October activities or to book a tour, call Sherrill Sumrall at 480-688-4604.
