THIS FRIDAY EVENING (4-6-06) we will be having the ride for April called
"FAITH IN LOS ANGELES"
Greetings dear Brothers and Sisters,
A reading from the recently found pages of the original draft of Genesis, Appendix B:
"And on the 7th Day, God did rest, for he was tired. Should a man question as to why a God who created the entire earth and every detail of it within a week all of a sudden gets tired, that same man will enter a debate with other people that is in Appendix C.
On his day or rest, yea, God did clean his bicycle chain and yea did he apply a teflon based wax lube to his chain. And lo! Upon the streets of Los Angeles, did he ride, the wheels smoothly rolling over the potholes and rubbish laden streets."
"On the 8th Day, God did a century on his fixed gear conversion, and yea, did his buttocks burn from the pain."
Yes, friends, whether a woman or a man, God did once ride a bicycle, as written in the original, unpublished draft of the book of Genesis - and so shall we as RIDE-Arc explores the places of worship and faith in the downtown Los Angeles area... a survey of its diversity and the current movement in faith of the teaming masses looking skyward (or forward) (or downward) in search of an answer - who will win this year's American Idol?!?
FLYER: In respect to all the religions we could possibly represent, we chose not to have one flyer - instead we offer you a random flyer, out of 8 (yes, there are more religions out there, but 8 is a great number for flyer purposes).

Hit reload to get another random flyer.
The route is being finalized over the next 24hours, however it will be no more than 19 miles, possibly shorter. We will be stopping occasionally and the pace will be comfortable for everyone riding - no race here folks, just a nice evening ride with cool people. A few uphills, nothing too crazy.
Weather: Don't worry, we've prayed and prayed REALLY HARD so Friday will be nice and clear JUST FOR US! (After the ride, the rain can resume). Bring gloves, your hands may get cold. Temperatures will be chilly.
THE MEETING PLACE FOR THIS RIDE IS AT THE SCI-ARC PARKING LOT, 9 PM - WE RIDE BY 9:30
Map: http://tinyurl.com/jv5pg
Getting to the meeting place:
- No car? Take the Red or Gold Line to Union Station -> Alameda South -> Left on Traction (just after 2nd Street) -> end of the street.
- Driving/carpooling there? PLENTY of parking available at the school that never sleeps.
There are no requirements of ability or skill to ride with everyone - just bring your own bike! Any bike! Road, MTB, Fixed Gear, BMX, Cruisers, Choppers, LowRiders...
It is open to anyone and everyone! Bring your friends, family, significant others!
A helmet is a good idea if you've got one, but it is optional and we ride safely. If you've got a light, bring it lit up - the more the better.
No rider left behind!
