Rickshaw Stop celebrates our third year of existence with a three-day festival of our favorite local bands (and one from Sweden). Each night is dedicated to a different sound. Tonight, we're highlighting our favorite pop bands.

HELLO GOODBYE
Hello Goodbye is a catchy, yelpy, super-sweet indie-pop band made up of Swedes and Norwegians, based in Gothenberg, Sweden. The girl-fronted quartet's first LP, Heart Attack, garnered comparisons to artists like the Velvet Underground, The Cramps, and The White Stripes. One review described the band by imagining The Velvet Underground playing songs by Dead Moon, or even the Sonics.

DREAMDATE
This adorable, all-gal garage-pop trio from Oakland (with ex-members of Hawaiian Getaway) makes catchy tunes inspired by "tallboys and tall boys." Debut album out any minute on Chocolate Covered Records.
