Richmond Shakespeare: Love's Labors Lost May 11, 2010

In Shakespeare's giddy word-feast, Ferdinand, King of Navarre, and three of his friends give up women and the world to devote themselves to learning. But their foolish vows can't bar Love, from their gates or from their hearts. Certainly not when four high-spirited, high-bred ladies arrive on the scene. Their unexpected entrance throws the noble scholars -- and the pedants and peasants of the neighboring countryside -- into romantic upheaval.
