Holiday shoppers not only buy unique gifts, but benefit area museums through their purchases.
Richmond-area museum gift shops will come together for a unique shopping extravaganza beginning Nov. 3 at VMFA.
The proceeds from the three-day sale will benefit the participating museums. There will be many specialty items for the holidays on display in the Cochrane Atrium.
In addition to VMFA, participating museums are:
• Agecroft Hall
• American Civil War Center and Virginia War Memorial
• Beth Ahabah Museum and Archives
• Chesterfield Historical Society/Magnolia Grange
• The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen
• Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden
• Library of Virginia
• The Poe Museum
• Richmond Railroad Museum
• Science Museum of Virginia
• Valentine Richmond History Center
• Virginia Center for Architecture
• Virginia Historical Society
• Virginia Holocaust Museum
The Shoppers’ Fair will be open on Fri., Nov. 4 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sat., Nov. 5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
From 5 – 9 p.m. on Thurs., Nov. 9, participating museums will extend a 10 percent discount to all museum members who attend. Members must present their membership cards at time of purchase.
