Richland College presents The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, a hilarious, Tony Award-winning, one-act musical comedy that chronicles the unique talents and quirks of six ambitious spellers as they try to become the winner of the annual bee and represent Putnam County at the national spelling bee. The musical’s songs include “My Friend, the Dictionary,” “I’m Not That Smart,” “Magic Foot,” “Prayer of the Comfort Counselor” and “I Speak Six Languages.” The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee contains mild language and is not recommended for children under age 12.
Performances are free and seating is on a first come first serve basis. Doors open at 7 p.m. with performances beginning at 7:30 p.m. For more information, call 972-238-6256.
