The Richland College Dance Program will present “Fluorescent Pop” at 7:30 p.m. on April 12-13, in Fannin Performance Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
“Fluorescent Pop” showcases innovative and diverse student and faculty performances including contemporary modern, ballet, jazz, tap and hip hop styles. Muscle Memory Dance Company will debut as guest artists at Richland with repertoire from (re)build and golden brace let with choreography by Lesley Snelson.
The show will open with Hallelujah, an original work choreographed by Giovanni Allen, Richland’s guest choreographer this spring. Hallelujah reflects a sense of joy in performance by exploring dynamic qualities in dance that are rich in texture and musical rhythm.
“Fluorescent Pop” also will feature dance works created by Richland dance faculty members Cheryl Callon, Deb Jones, Julie Rowley and Gina Sawyer.
Richland College is located at 12800 Abrams Road in Dallas. For more information about “Fluorescent Pop”, call Gina Sawyer at 972-238-3775.
