Lunchtime Lecture Presentation.
Richard Lowry, Chairman of the Archaeology Committee of the Bermuda National Trust, in Mapping our Heritage discusses the work of the Bermuda National Trust Archaeology Committee's Geographic Information System (GIS) Project. Begun in 2004 this island-wide survey seeks to locate, catalogue and document those historic sites, ruins and buildings that form part of our cultural heritage, using historic maps, archival documents and oral histories. In 2004 the project focused on the 19th Century and in 2005 we will be looking at the 20th Century and asking the public, ?What local sites they think are historically important??. Free.
