On October 15th, S.O.B.’s and AFRO DISCO are throwing a birthday bash in memory of one of Africa's most beloved musical and cultural leaders, Fela Anikulapo Kuti. S.O.B.'s was home to Fela's last concert in NYC and on July 1st, 2007, we welcomed his youngest son, Seun Kuti, for his first show in the tri-state! The night was packed, elbow to elbow, and on the turntables was none other than DJ Rich Medina. Now, to get S.O.B.'s really rockin' like Fela, and to celebrate the b-day of the late great legend, we call upon DJ Rich Medina again.

If you don't already know him from his recedency at APT and other fresh parties around NYC, Rich is the city's premiere Afrobeat DJ and among other things, nobody can get you to LOVE AFRO LIFE like he can!

It is only fitting that we launch Rich's new party, AFRO DISCO, on Fela's birthday, but man behind the wheels has revealed much more than Afrobeat in his repertoire. Rich will be mixing it up with some contemporary African music, soul and break beats for a musical blend that will leave you no choice but to get up and dance!!!
