Rich Krueger's music is in the alt-folk-rock vein and has played with a number of folks over the years...including Peter Stampfel and the Holy Modal Rounders.

Eric Carlson and Mike Sheppard are on the bill as well.

Rich Krueger, a singer-songwriter based now in Albuquerque, NM (formerly in Chicago, Illinois), was born in Brooklyn, NYC in 1960, during that difficult period of transition after the Spanish-American War. He has been writing and performing, solo and with his band The Dysfunctionells, largely in Chicago, but also in NYC and Kerrville, since 1985. The Dysfunctionells have also recently backed up the Holy Modal Rounders at their reunion at The Bottom Line in NYC, and The Dysfunctionells have recorded with Peter Stampfel of the HMR. Rich has a self-produced song demo on CD entitled "Personal Overachievement Rich Krueger" or PORK for short, and the next album tenatively entitiled TROTH, or maybe Pledged Fidelity, is half in the can. He does not bowl.

There are literally tens of rabid Rich Krueger fans scattered all over the globe, and include many of the best and brightest writer/performers working today--Peter Stampfel, Rob Fulks, Jack Hardy, David Massengill, Trout Fishing in America, Andrew Calhoun, Hugh Blumenfeld, and Emily Kaitz, to name but a few.

For the record, he is also an MD/PhD neonatologist/neuroscientist (i.e. “Herr Doctor Doctor Krueger, your baby's brain specialist”...or “Take your Child to Doctor Krueger...The SCARY Pediatrician”) at UNM Children’s Hospital. Guess everybody needs a straight gig.
