Nicknamed the Black Liberace, Ricardo Scales is a SF legend and preferred pianist of SF Mayor Willie Brown, attracting Billy Joel, Harry Connick Jr., Liza Minelli, and Joe Cocker to sit in during his Redwood Room stint at the Clift Hotel. Mastering practically every existing genre of music, including classical, jazz, gospel, funk, and R&B, he has played for five US presidents and countless diplomatic dignitaries and shared concert bills with such notables as Debbie Reynolds, the Commodores and Nancy Wilson. This promises to be an exciting show, playing from new CD, Summertime.
