Ribbon Riders, a grass roots Orlando-based nonprofit organization that promotes breast cancer awareness and provides financial assistance to individuals in Central Florida who are fighting the disease, is hosting a weekend of fundraising events for “Go Pink! 2012” on May 5 and 6.
On Sunday, May 6, the motorcycle ride will begin at the East Orlando Harley-Davidson on Lake Underhill at 8:30 a.m. and will end at the Route 46 Entertainment District in Sanford. The first 250 participants to pre-register will receive an event T-shirt, pin and goody bag. All registrants will receive a bingo card with a route map on the back, showing three stops on the scenic route through Orange and Seminole Counties.
Ribbon Riders encourage the entire community to participate. Cars and scooters are also welcome.
From noon to 2 p.m., bikers and members of the public are invited to enjoy discounted lunch meals, games, raffles, auctions and live entertainment by The MOB at Route 46 Entertainment District in Sanford.
Pre-registration costs $20 per person, or $30 for both events. To pre-register and for more information, visit www.ribbonriders.org/go-pink.
