Rex Allen Big Band, featuring vocalist Johnny Martin. w/dancing November 21, 2010

Led by trombonist/vibraphonist bandleader Allen, this14 piece orchestra celebrates the Swing Music hits of the 40s with vocalist Johnny Martin of Benny Goodman and Tommy Dorsey fame. We’ll clear the chairs second set for dancing.

40 minutes from SF and Silicon Valley, the Douglas Beach House is notorious for its oceanfront location, casual chamber setting, and quality performances. Home to the non-profit Bach Dancing & Dynamite Society, it has been major contributor to the SF Bay Area Jazz & Classical music scene since 1964. National and international musicians mingle with the audience who get two hours of music plus two more to enjoy the scene. Buffet and wine bar available, or bring your own beverages.
