Hammond B-3 organist Reuben Wilson's infectious brand of soul-jazz and funk, which was later dubbed acid-jazz, remains as vital and popular today as it was 40 years ago, if not more so. Along with fellow acid-jazz innovator and guitarist Melvin Sparks, the quartet includes tenor saxophonist Jerry Weldon and drummer Vincent Ector.
