July 9 & 10, 2011
Reston Town Center
Reston, VA 20190
A new central theme concept for this year’s Reston Festival, “Reston through the Decades,” has been created. Four different areas, within the Reston Town Center, will be color-coordinated to represent the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, and finally the 90’s and beyond. Each decade will have an assortment of theme-coordinated activities.
In addition, the Pavilion will serve as the Festival's main stage and focus point. The festival's primary musical concert will take place there on Saturday night as well as the wrap up costume party and award ceremony on Sunday night. Throughout the weekend, the stage will host a variety of events and the pavilion will serve as the main social gathering area.
This Reston tradition provides an attraction of over 25,000+ visitors. It offers a unique combination of entertainment, kids’ activities, educational displays, food vendors and business exhibitions in an exciting festival setting. In addition, retail shopping, restaurants, and over 7000 free onsite parking spaces are available making this an ideal location for the festival in which anyone can become involved.
For companies, this festival provides a unique opportunity to gain exposure through sponsorship. Four chosen sponsors will exclusively represent one of the four areas, which represent a specific decade. Other sponsors will have opportunities to contribute in areas of telecommunications, logistics, and prizes. The Reston Festival is a fundraiser for the Reston community so sponsorships are tax-deductible.
