The Reston Community Orchestra, under the baton of conductor Dingwall Fleary, will present "A Tribute to Robert E. Simon, Jr.", a concert in honor of the Founder of the Reston Community, who this year celebrates his 95th birthday. The featured soloist will be Edwin Thayer, former principal hornist with the National Symphony Orchestra, and a resident of Reston. A special treat will be a choral work featuring the Reston Chorale, in its first collaboration with the Orchestra. Fred Wygal, music director of the Chorale, will conduct the joint presentation.
The program will be held on Sunday, March 15, at 4:00 PM at the Reston Community Center at Hunter's Woods Village Center, 2310 Colt's Neck Road, Reston.
Admission to the concert is FREE. Your generous Free-Will Donation in support of the orchestra will be graciously accepted.
