Residential Work shop for

Film Society Organizers is being organized at Karimnagar for two days November 8 and 9,2008. ASIAN FILM FOUNDATION, MUMBAI, FEERATION OF FILM SOCIETIES OF INDIA (SR) AND KARIMNAGAR FILM SOCIETY are organizing the workshop, Supported by HIVOS.

Similar workshops were conducted in Mysore for Karnataka state from 6-7,September 2008. And the other at Coimbattore for Tamilnadu state from11-12 October 2008 and for Andhra Pradesh the workshop is scheduled at Karimnagar. The workshop will discuss all aspects of how to start and run a film society including Quality and methods of programming, management of the society, raising funds, and how to create awareness about good cinema. This workshop will also discuss the aspects of art and aesthetics of cinema and cinema appreciation.

This is the interactive workshop and every participant is expected to participate in the deliberation to make it livelier.

Mr.Sudhir Nandgaonkar from Mumbai, Hn.Narahari Rao from Bangalore and many other stalwarts from the movement are participating as resource persons

So we are inviting all the film societies to participate in big number.

We solicit the presence of Presidents, Secretaries and other three active members from each society.

We are providing good accommodation, food arrangements for the participants at

FREE OF COST. Further the participants will be given certificates.
