Want shorts, feature films, music videos, live performances, seminars and talks, all in one action-packed weekend? The 8th annual RESFEST launches its 33-city international tour in New York City with its most eclectic and exciting programming ever. Screening highlights include a retrospective of envelope-pushing commercials and music videos by acclaimed Sexy Beast director Jonathan Glazer, a rarities program from UK collective Shynola, Thomas Campbell?s surf doc Sprout, a collection of breaking music promos from electronic label Warp, and a set of viral political shorts titled Bushwhacked! RESFEST?s twin music video surveys Cinema Electronica and Videos That Rock return, as does its yearly look at cutting-edge motion graphics, By Design, along with three shorts programs. The festival also offers live performances from Diplo, Jimmy Edgar and Mojave 3, a VJ extravaganza featuring EBN and Hexstatic, tours of leading design studios and numerous panels. It?s all at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center September 9-12.
