chinadialogue is looking for a research intern. The internship will focus on the effects of glacial ice melt on the availability of water in the Greater Himalayas region. Ideally we are looking for someone with a background in environmental science. You will have an interest in population displacement, the affect of climate change on water availability for industry and agriculture and issues around food security. Your work will be desk based and involve identifying current research, collecting data on water supply and demand in the Greater Himalayas region and future predictions. A good knowledge of environmental issues is a must; Chinese language skills beneficial.
