Venue/Location: Council Chamber (G05), Old Fire Station, University of Salford
Event type: Conferences
Description:
The University of Salford is home to many talented staff and students working on really interesting endeavours that we don't always have the opportunity to hear about. We're looking to raise the communication levels between research staff, share interests, and stimulate new ideas or collaborative projects.
Three presenters will adhere to PechaKucha rules (20 slides at 20 seconds) to showcase their projects at this monthly lunchtime event, rotating between main (Old Fire Station) and MediaCityUK campus. Food for your brain will be provided, along with drinks, please bring your own lunch.
The first session on Thu 31 Jan, will be held at the Council Chamber (G05), Old Fire Station, where we will hear from Dr Chris Lee, Dawn Shaw and Kit Turner as they discuss the theme of Access in their work. There will then be time for networking and conversation following the presentations.
Speakers:
Dr Chris Lee – Programme Leader in Film Studies
Kit Turner – Events Officer, Exhibitions and Programmes
Dawn Shaw - Senior Lecturer, School of Computing Science & Engineering
