Rescheduled Hands-On Movie Night #2 @ Buffalo River Fest Park
Thursday 8/9 @ 8:00 PM
FREE
Over the past 8 years Squeaky Wheel has hosted 8 fabulous Outdoor Animation Festivals - each showcasing innovative and diverse animated work by independent artists from around the world. July's Hands-On Movie Night at Buffalo River Fest Park will feature some of the most memorable and zany animations from all the Animation Festivals of years past. Along with the Animation Fest selections we will also be showing some fresh work made by kids at the Seneca Babcock Community center. And to celebrate the fact that the River Fest Park might be one of the only parks in the world that smells wonderfully of cereal, we'll be showing a short animated film called The History of Cereal made by kids in Iowa City with Tiny Circus, a collaborative community-based art project that uses the medium of stop-motion animation to create stories. Come before it gets dark to try your own hand at some animating with our stop-motion station and our old fashioned zoetrope!
