Kids and their families can surround themselves with snakes, lizards and other cool critters -- and enjoy the experience -- at the Museum of Nature & Science’s annual Reptile Fest in Fair Park. They will learn how reptiles listen without ears, how lizards climb walls and other fascinating herpetological facts. The event also teaches which reptiles make good pets, which snakes are harmless if they see them in the wild, and which ones to avoid.
In addition to lots of live snakes, lizards, turtles and other creatures, there will be tons of crafts and hands-on demonstrations suitable for all ages. Kids can collect free reptile trading cards.
