Reno Tahoe Comedy Presents The Vagina Monologues The Perfect ‘Girls Day Out’ February 22, 2013

The Vagina Monologues promises to inspire, encourage and educate our community about violence against women and raise money for local charity STEP2. Performances include talents by 20 women who celebrate women’s sexuality and strength with humor and grace.

Eve Ensler’s “The Vagina Monologues,” showcases interviews with more than 200 women around the world making the foundation for the popular V-Day movement. In an effort to end violence against women and children, this year’s V-Day in Reno will support STEP2 for the second year. STEP2 is a local charity that helps women and their children overcome the effects of drug and alcohol addiction. Ninety-eight percent of the women who are in treatment in STEP2 are affected by trauma and violence. The Vagina Monologues aim to raise awareness of abuse towards women and STEP2 is a natural match for this event.
