Reno Tahoe Comedy presents Denny Johnson July 9, 2011

Reno Tahoe Comedy presents, the Biggest Little Comedy Show at the Pioneer Underground located next to the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts at 100 South Virginia, St., Reno, NV. Reno’s best kept secret will have three amazing shows this weekend! Doors open Friday at 6:30pm and the show is at 7:30pm! We’ll have two shows on Saturday: the first is at 8:00pm and the second is an ‘R’ rated show at 10:00pm. Reno Tahoe Comedy offers a full bar and no drink minimum. Suggested age: 16 and over with parental guidance.

Reno Tahoe Comedy is pleased to announce that all three shows are headlined by comedian Denny Johnston. Denny has appeared on the popular television show Make Me Laugh over twenty times, The Tonight Show, David Letterman, Arsenio Hall, Merv Griffin, Comedy Central and Good Morning America. He entered the ‘Big L.A. Laff Off’ beating fellow comics Kevin Nealon and Bobby Slayton to name a few of the five finalists. One hundred and nine comics started out and Denny finished being the 1st place winner!

Joining Denny as our host for the weekend is Bob Johnston. Bob was insulted when upon finding out that he has a Biology/Chemistry degree, people remark how smart he must be. He says it doesn’t take brains to get a 4 year degree in 13 years. Working a variety of jobs from UPS man, Taco Bell manager, State Employee and Firefighter while going to school, gave Bob insight that appears in his routine as he skips easily from baldness to ex-girlfriends to traffic problems. A professed bachelor, Bob is a high energy comic who grew up in a small town, moved to the San Francisco Bay area after college, and has been called “the only Redneck in the Bay Area”. Bob does a great job morphing blue collar comedy with the high tech world. From his sister’s “Hog farm” to his love of cats, Bob routinely wins over audiences with his unique brand of humor.
