RENew Northfield Transportation Committee meeting--public welcome July 6, 2006

Please join RENew Northfield the evening of Thursday the 6th for our July Transportation Committee meeting. We will begin with an opportunity to share food and drink while chatting about whatever's on your mind (the good, the bad, and the ugly, preferably energy-related, but hey, how 'bout those Twins? and who's going to be left to ride in, let alone win, the Tour de France??) from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m., followed by the meeting at 7:00.

7:10 Event planning: Making the Northfield area more bicycle and pedestrian friendly (September or October '06)
Main speaker: Steve Clark (Transit for Livable Communities, Minneapolis, Walking and Bicycling Program Manager)
From the TLC website: "Steve started working for TLC in February, 2006, primarily to implement the federally funded Non-Motorized Transportation Pilot Project. Steve brings a strong background in bicycling and walking to the organization. He was the first manager of the bicycling and walking program in Boulder Colorado, he is a past president of the League of American Bicyclists, and he oversaw development of the northern portion of the Ice Age trail in Wisconsin. Steve has also written bike/pedestrian plans for a number of US cities."
