Renee Rosnes is recognized as one of the premier jazz pianists and arrangers of her generation. This Canadian star began classical studies at age three and was introduced to jazz during her high school years. Rosnes frequently collaborates with her husband, the acclaimed pianist Bill Charlap, in a two-piano setting, as well as performing with her own bands. At Dizzy’s she will perform the Music of the Piano Masters with Steve Nelson (vibes), Peter Washington (bass), and Lewis Nash (drums). Rosnes has released a series of 12 diverse recordings, nine of which are on the legendary Blue Note label. Four have garnered Juno Awards, the Canadian equivalent of a Grammy.
