EARSeL Joint Workshop - Remote Sensing: New Challenges of High Resolution
The workshop is the successor of the workshop, which took place in Berlin in 2006.
In addition to the topic "Urban Remote Sensing" this joint workshop considers a wider thematic
spectrum since the following special interest groups are involved in this event:
SIG Radar, SIG 3D Remote Sensing, SIG Developing Countries.
Workshop topics will be among others:
- Urban patterns and processes
- Monitoring urban development
- Multi-scale retrieval of climatologically relevant urban-surface parameters from remote sensing data
- Comparing pixel- and object-based classification of imperviousness
- Remote sensing for megacities research
- Classifying segmented hyperspectral data from urban areas using support vector machines
This joint workshop is supported by ISPRS Working Group VIII/1 "Human Settlements and Impact Analysis"
