How can a child be Jewish and also Greek, Japanese, Hispanic or Hawaiian? How can you introduce family celebrations from non-Jewish traditions? Children move through a variety of developmental stages; parents need to support their religious identity development and family attachment in age appropriate ways. Children are a product of both parents - Jewish and non-Jewish. They need to feel comfortable with all of their family. We will look at how to weave together disparate backgrounds into one whole "self."
