The fourth annual “Scary Rock Star” Costume Contest aims to unearth the most bizarre, bloodcurdling and creative costumes in South Florida when it returns October 26 at 9:30 p.m. to Seminole Paradise at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino! Register now, online, at www.seminoleparadise.com/scaryrockstars for the most anticipated and attended Halloween showcase that promises more than $25,000 in cash and prizes.
Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is offering a $5,000 overall top cash prize and $1,000 separate cash prizes in the categories of Music, Pop Culture/Entertainment, Scary Spooktacular and Miscellaneous. New this year will be a fan favorite category with its own $1,000 cash prize. Registration is free and pre-registration is encouraged as categories fill-up quickly.
On October 26, entrants will be required to check-in at 8 p.m. to receive a number that must be clearly displayed on the front of their costume. Through a series of preliminary rounds, contestants will be judged in groups of five for each costume category. Each category will award the top five winners - first, second, third fourth and fifth. The first place contestant from each of the three categories will compete for the title of “Scary Rock Star” with one contestant to be awarded the grand prize.

Costumes will be judged by on creativity, originality and appearance by local celebrities including Shireen Sandoval of WSVN’s Deco Drive, Ben Crandell from the Sun-Sentinel and more. Ross Bielejeski from Rock with U will be emcee for the ghoulish gathering.

For all geeks, freaks and “gore”geously chic entries, please remember that good taste must be used in the creation and presentation of costumes.
