Invitation to Regional Growth Dialogue
Co-sponsors: Bay Area Alliance for Sustainable Communities,
California Center for Regional Leadership, Caltrans, and Bank of America.

REMINDER - Please RSVP by Friday, September 15th

The Bay Area will gain one million new residents over the next fifteen
years. How can local, regional and state development partners work together
in such a way that ensures that our natural resources are protected, traffic
congestion is curtailed, sufficient affordable housing is made available and
employers are attracted which offer livable wages?

Please join us for a stimulating discussion, "On the Frontlines of Regional
Development", where we will hear perspectives from local, regional and state
government; an environmental organization and the business community:
- on local challenges to smart growth development
- a regional perspective on local development
- the state's role in advancing regional growth priorities
- the potential impact of the state infrastructure bonds
- partnerships among local, regional, and state
development participants.

During the second half of the meeting, we'll hold smaller discussion groups
to talk about the pending state housing bond, focused development in the
region, and how to improve coordination among development partners.
We encourage developers; local, regional, and state government agency staff
and elected officials; and non-profit organizations to attend this dialogue.
