Presentation: Rails: Diving into the Rabbit Hole
Maybe you have heard of it, maybe you haven't. Maybe you've heard how it makes a back-end developer's life easier, but how does it effect the front-end developer? What is Rails? It can make many applications of Javascript much easier. The template and URL mechanisms reward the adventurous developer with easy to maintain markup and uncluttered URLs. Merely stepping into the Rails community connects you to a group that shares an aesthetic for building great applications.
Adam Keys will talk about all three of these features (and more!), tackling Rails from the perspective of the front-end architect (but not leaving the back-end stuff out either)
Please RSVP, include month in title: rsvp {at} refreshdallas {dot} org
We'll provide the pizza and drinks if you provide the questions and conversation. Come early (7:00) to mingle with like-minded designers and developers, soak in a fresh presentation (7:30), and then stick around afterwards to meet up at Café Gecko (9:00).
