From the collection of Cici and Hyatt Brown are 69 paintings from one of the largest and most significant assemblages of Florida-based art. The works include views of Florida's beaches, rivers, swamps and farmlands as seen through the eyes of some of America's most important painters including Thomas Hart Benton, Frederick Carl Frieseke and Martin Johnson Heade. A series of special Florida-art oriented events and programs are scheduled at the Appleton in conjunction with this exhibit.
