Come experience MOLAA's first ever theatrical event, References to Salvador Dali Make Me Hot, written by Puerto Rican playwright Jose Rivera, Academy Award nominated screenwriter of The Motorcycle Diaries. In References to Salvador Dali Make Me Hot, Rivera juxtaposes magical realism with a stark look at the faltering American Dream.

In the desert landscape of Barstow, a lonely army wife awaits the return of her husband from the Gulf War. In her solitude she turns to a fantasy existence where the conscious meets the subconscious, the moon masters the violin and a cunning coyote seduces her plump cat.
