The Second Annual Reel Pride Richmond Film Festival will present a selection of outstanding films that celebrate the lives and loves of LGBT individuals and indeed all those who value a fair and compassionate community.
As Virginia's leading LGBT Film Festival, attendees will have the unique opportunity to view documentaries, dramas and comedies reflecting the best and most compelling films as well as meet such behind the scenes talent as producers, directors and actors.
Due to the overwhelming response to last years Festival, Reel Pride Richmond has this season moved to Richmond Center Stage, Richmonds beautiful new Performing Arts Center. The Festival will be held in the Gottwald Playhouse with a Friday night special showing of "Howl" and an after party.
The first Reel Pride Richmond was held in February 2010 at the Firehouse Theatre and attracted an overflow crowd for its Opening Night Gala and showcase of films like Patrik 1.5 (Sweden), Out in the Silence (US), and Edie and Thea, A Very Long Engagement (US).
All proceeds raised from the film festival will go to ROSMY and supporting LGBT youth in the community. In keeping with ROSMY's mission, on Saturday November 6th students and young people will have the opportunity to see a film especially selected to help them to understand themselves and the world around them.

The Opening Night Gala will be held on the evening of Friday November 5th. Following the film, guests will enjoy an exciting after party. Films will be shown throughout the day on Saturday November 6th.
