Goodbye Ruby Tuesday! Reel Life Moviehouse is moving to Sundays! The day is different, but the format is the same, we are still giving local filmmakers a venue to show their work alongside classic feature films. It's still free, it's still every two weeks and there is still free popcorn, but the day has been moved to SUNDAY.
This week (July 8) in honor of moving to the day of our Lord we're encouraging all sorts of naughty behavior with the 60s spy flick Danger: Diabolik. Come have a drink or two as dangerous Diabolik and his sexy girlfriend Eva, lie, steal and kill their way across the screen.
We're also featuring show two of New York's best independent shorts: Carlotta Propersi's Mothman! and Nick Kinling's Waiting Room. In Mothman!, DW of Channel 5 News, Point Pleasant, West Virginia is the first to capture the dreaded Mothman on tape. An incredible and shocking moment in human history! Waiting Room uses a suspended camera and other unconventional filmmaking techniques to create an unique visual experience.
As always, there's free popcorn and a free drink for whomever wins the trivia contest.
Take care,
Chris
