Steeped in the folk tradition, Reed Foehl is largely known for his lyrical ability as an artist. He possesses a talent, and voice that is very seldom seen (or heard). Foehls' landscape of lush tones and solid songs touches the raw truth of love and tragedy, without sinking into saccharin sentimentally or cold remove. His albums pull together a touch of country, folk and edgy roots rock with the bold honesty intrinsic to modern song
writing.

Putnam Murdock got his start as a professional musician touring with the successful rock and roll band Chief Broom. With Murdock as front man, the group achieved a slot on the 1997 H.O.R.D.E. tour, appeared in festivals at Red Rocks Amphitheater and sold out venues throughout the western U.S. Upon completion of this type of "music school of life" in 1999, Murdock attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he graduated with a songwriting degree in 2002. Since then, Murdock has been performing across the country with artists such as Reed Foehl (of Acoustic Junction), Ben Taylor, Martin Sexton, Gregory Alan Isakov, William Topley, and Kaki King.

Working in a vein similar to that of such contemporaries as The Civil Wars and Mumford & Sons, von Grey masterfully melds folk, bluegrass and country influences, imbuing time-honored musical idioms with a distinctly modern sensibility. Their forthcoming five-song EP captures the band’s essence and the raw intensity of their live performances. The four sisters have been playing music nearly their entire lives. With their soulful four-part harmonies, poetic lyrics and indelible melodies, it’s easy to see why the Atlanta Journal Constitution would hail von Grey as “nothing short of stunning.”
