Reddin Symposium -- "Making Boundaries & Nations: Borderland Legacies of the War of 1812" April 6, 2013

Northwest Ohio was the site of a number of significant confrontations during the War of 1812. Pulitzer Prize winning author Alan Taylor will examine outcomes of the War that continue to influence the United States, Canada, Britain and indigenous peoples. Dr. Taylor is known not only for his scholarly credentials, but for his lively and engaging presentations. This 26th Reddin Symposium is generously supported by the Reddin Family, BGSU Canadian Studies, and the Consulate General of Canada-Detroit. The presentation will be given in Bowen Thompson Student Union, with a reception to follow. the event is free, and registration is not required.
