Few rock groups of the '80s broke down as many musical barriers as the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Boasting a wild fusion of funk, punk, hip hop and psychedelic rock, the Chili Peppers, led by founding members Anthony Kiedis and bassist "Flea," spawned a new style and a bunch of imitators along the way.
