Red Barn Radio Welcomes Ma Crow and the Lady Slippers December 28, 2011

Female acoustic artist Ma Crow is a CAMMY (a Cincinnati Grammy) award winner and multi-nominee for the Cincinnati Entertainment Awards. She played for many years with the well-known “Ma Crow and The Flock”. She then formed the band “Ma Crow and The Medicine Show” to get back to her old time and bluegrass roots. She played with “Katie Laur and Her All Girl Bluegrass Band” and formed the all female band (and Cincinnati Entertainment Award nominees) “The Mother Pluckers”. Ma Crow has now joined with Trina Emig, Margie Drees, and Vicki Abbott to form another all female band “Ma Crow and The Lady Slippers”.

From ballads to bluegrass, old-time to contemporary music, her roots come from East Tennessee to the Ohio River Valley. When Ma Crow sings, even the most melodious of song birds would be hard pressed to send forth such a sweet strand of sounds.
