Red Barn Radio Welcomes Coaltown Dixie April 10, 2013

Coaltown Dixie, High-Heeled Bluegrass 04/10 at 7 p.m.

Coaltown Dixie is an all woman Bluegrass band, originating from the beautiful hills of Appalachia in Eastern Kentucky. Members are Kristen "Mando Chick" Preston on mandolin and dobro, Melanie "Little Earl" Turner on banjo and guitar, Stephanie "Della May" Rose on bass, and Kalyn "Peach" Bradford on guitar and mandolin. They enjoy playing traditional Bluegrass music as well as putting a Bluegrass spin on non-traditional tunes. They have two CDs -- Hotter Than A Coal Burnin' Fire, and Bluegrass State of Mind.
