Recycling Center Tour November 15, 2011

Come and learn what happens to your recyclables after they leave the curb and what happens to old electronic waste, or e-waste.

The recycling center tour starts when a recycling truck crosses the scale and ends when recyclables are shipped off to be made into new products. See what really happens to your paper, cardboard, cans and bottles.

Items such as computers, monitors, televisions and more are disassembled, sorted, crushed or baled, and sent off to end markets. See the entire process at the Electronic Demanufacturing Facility.

Both facilities are handicapped accessible.
