Recycled Fashion Show February 26, 2010

The Recycled Fashion Show aims to inspire responsible consumerism and creative re-use while raising funds for the Bridge House substance abuse treatment program for the homeless and indigent. According to the Council for Textile Recycling, the average American throws away 68 pounds of of clothing and textiles every year. Second-hand shops, like the Bridge House Thrift Stores, make it wasy to keep your share out of landfills.

Local designers will be showing off their creative talents in our Recycled Fashion Show! Their runway ensembles have been created using clothing items from the Bridge House Thrift Store, along with all the personal flair from our 24 participating designers! After the fashion show, we will be auctioning off the re-vamped outfits, so you can walk out with some stylish "new" apparel of your own!

There will also be a cash bar and sixteen of New Orlean's most loved restaurants will be preparing a selection of delicious dishes for you!

We will also be raffling off ten items valued from $40 to $350 that have been donated by businesses from the area, as well as some door prizes for five lucky winners! The Big Easy Rollergirls will be selling our raffle tickets.

Doors for the VIP pre-party open at 7:00 and General Admission at 8:00.
