The Albuquerque Area Professional Organizers (AAPO) present Get Organized Month 2008 Recycle-A-Thon on Saturday, January 26, 2008, 9a.m. - 1 p.m., at the SW corner of the Kmart shopping center at Carlisle and I-40 (2100 Carlisle, NE). The public can get a head start on becoming more organized in 2008 by de-cluttering their homes and offices of recyclables at no cost. The event is free and an effort to highlight Get Organized Month, an annual January event sponsored by the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) dedicated to raising the awareness of the benefits of organization and of hiring a professional organizer. The event is co-sponsored by the City of Albuquerque, Shred-It, Junk Pros, and New Mexico Clean and Beautiful.
From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Southwest corner of the K-Mart parking lot at 2100 Carlisle NE (I-40 and Carlisle), the following items will be accepted:
• Confidential documents
• Paper of all kinds, newspaper, cardboard, magazines, phone books, and coated book stock
• Aluminum cans, tin and steel (small cans or pieces)
• Glass, any color
• All plastics #1 & #2
NO E-WASTE WILL BE ACCEPTED. The event organizers reserve the right to accept or reject any items. The event may be cancelled or postponed due to weather.
