Reclaiming Gettysburg: Kevin Gray's Modern Tintypes July 2, 2012

'Reclaiming Gettysburg' conveys a rich sense of nostalgia for a treasured and alluring American past. Gray's tintype montages express his individual perspective of Gettysburg history using a modernized version of a photographic technique popularized and perfected during the Civil War. 'Reclaiming Gettysburg' is shown in commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the Civil War and in conjunction with another Fenimore Art Museum exhibition, 'Between the States.'
